Kraftin' Kimmie Hop!

This month, I created two fun and 'wet' sets for Kimmie, entitled, Totally Tubular and Shell Me a Story.  I decided to color up Lulu on the beach, because, you know she's one of my favorite characters. Good grief. . . I just realized that it's actually May.  I know. . .we are already half way into it, but it just suddenly hit me that we are so close to summer.  Yesterday was in the 90's, so maybe that is why it hit me.  I don't mind the heat though, even though, I'm sure that I will complain from time to time about the heat, but those of you who follow me, know that I HATE the cold weather.

I have been busy, busy, busy sketching and working on new stuff. . . . .and I hope that you all are finding some time to color and just have some fun.
But. . .that's enough about me and what I'm doing, let's get to the winners.  And who were those winners?

Since I have been doing so much 'hands on' drawing, I decided to invest in a drafting table.  It arrived via UPS and I couldn't wait to put it together.  I know, I know, it makes it more crowded in my bedroom as I'm doubling up with it being my studio since Zach moved in, but it's ok.  I love it already.  Now I just have to get everything organized.  I'm sure this will inspire me to draw/sketch even more.  

I have really enjoyed seeing what you are working on lately and I'm sure that you love seeing what everyone is working on, just as much as I do.  And for you newbies. . .it doesn't have to be anything crafty. Hip, hip, hooray. . .  It's Thursday! And so, you know what that means. It's time for another TWO weeks of SMT fun!  I hope that you all are having a fantastic week.  I'm getting ready for my nieces wedding on Saturday.  Still have a dress to get some errands to run and get to wrapping the gift.  Oh, how the time does fly!  I can't believe that we are already into May!  Good grief!!!

Yep. . .that's right.  It's Thursday, folks. And so, you know what that means. It's time for another TWO weeks of SMT fun!  I hope that you all are having a fantastic week.  The weeks lately, have just seemed to FLY by!  But I have to say, I'm really glad that I'm doing the SMT fun on a two week stretch for a while.  Things are just super busy.  It's hard to believe that in just a little over two weeks my niece will be getting married.  I haven't even picked out a gift OR a dress for the wedding, so that will be on my agenda soon.  Wish me luck!

Well, as most of you know, my first shipment of rubber stamps came in last week. I was SO EXCITED to receive the long awaited package.  I need to take some more photos, to give you a better idea of how great they are.  Like I said, I don't stamp, but I'm really loving these.  More to come.

I've been REALLY bad about not getting much sketching done.  Just a lot going on and by the time I sit down at night, I'm just too tired to even think about drawing.  I did however do a little coloring this week.  It's felt like a chore lately, when I've HAD to do it, so I figured I'd just do a little FUN coloring. I pulled up some of my favorites and did just that. . .printed and colored.  And I have to admit. . . it was FUN!

And here is a little something that I'm working on. . . MAX.  You may remember him from my Bug's Life post over at Illustrated by Cheryl, which has been sadly neglected.  Being uninspired, really does me no good, when I'm trying to sketch.  Maybe I just need a little more FUN coloring time.  I'm not sure if Max is going to stay like this or not.  I like the original sketch better, but I went in another direction and I'm just not sure if he's going to be a keeper. I mean, he's cute and all. . .I'm just not sure. What do you think?

Get busy, get busy, get busy! It's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Hop!  Are ya ready?  If you want to see ALL of the amazing rubber stamps and keep up to date with the goings on and happenings, you should definitely become a follower on the Kraftin' Kimme Facebook page!  

This month, I had the privilege of drawing some fun little spring/summer images for her.

Two great sets with some wonderful little quotes to keep you busy for HOURS!  And of course, I just had to color up one of them for you as well.  I chose Lucas on his scooter.  Ain't he a doll!  I'm hopint that all of these images will certainly keep the weather nice, so we can ALL get outside.  Don't you!

It's Thursday my sassy ladies. . .so you know what that means.  It's time for another SMT post!  We had tons of fun last week and I'm hoping you did as well.  Such fabulous posts and photos.  You all have certainly been busy.

As you all know, I have been trying to get my 'butt' in gear on getting the rubber stamps ready.  Well, I think I'm ready to take the plunge.  So, with that said, for a little while, I am going to be running the SMT fun for a stretch of two weeks until I feel comfortable with getting everything in order.  There will still be a winner for each week, so that part will not change.  And yes, you may enter twice.  Once for each week.  :O  Hope that's ok.  You'll love it.  You'll have to, for a while.  :)
